This year started with an internship. It has now become me fighting for substitute jobs daily in Arlington and Brookline. I’ve started taking everything – floating subs, TA, half day jobs and full day jobs. I’ve taught practically everything under the sun (general ed classrooms and as of today, art). The most draining part is finding the jobs. The excitement of now knowing quite what I’m going to be doing, however, is beyond exciting. I’ve gotten to practice so many different things and I’m definitely more confident walking into the school buildings now.
It’s always an adventure as a substitute because you don’t quite know what class you are going to get. That’s half the fun and excitement though. I know for sure I can’t say I am not busy anymore.
