I am doing a lot this semester. I have five clubs, a position with Her Campus National and three classes, two of which actually feel like four. Just listing that makes me feel overwhelmed. The saving grace is how organized I am. I have two calendars, a planner and a weekly white board. On those five different calendars I write everything down.
I know myself and if I don’t I will forget something. I also keep a sticky note on my desk with a to-do list of what I have coming up. Without those lists I would probably lose my mind. Usually my calendar has weeks where I am totally swamped and weeks where I have nothing going on. I don’t think that will be happening this year. Maybe it’s the fact I have 15 different colored calendars in iCal and all of them have been used.
Since I will be having multiple meetings with different boards I need to write them down. My planner from Lilly is color-coded also. I got that idea from multiple bloggers and I am a fan of the system. I don’t know if it’s because I can immediately recognize which class or meeting it is talking about or because writing makes me register it in my head. Regardless, whatever the reason is I like it. I like being organized and on top of everything. The only thing I need to make time for is blogging. I want to be writing more content posts than I have been. How do you stay organized?
